Pets to Bring into Luxembourg

EU rules state that a dog should have a microchip implanted, be vaccinated against rabies (valid for 12 months) and needs a certificate of good health, in order to import it into the EU (though it appears that there is no control on these regulations).

Check that your pet’s breed is allowed into the country. As for the flight to Luxembourg, both the destination and the airline may have specific restrictions regarding where pets can be placed during transport, whether in cargo or carry-on. For more specific information, check with the tourist offices of Luxembourg and your airline.

It is worth pointing out that you will need to visit a vet in Luxembourg, shortly before your departure, in order to be able to re-import your dog into your home country.
